Nourishment
The Science of Home
What makes a healthy home?
I began with nutrition.
I studied nutrition because I believed food was one of the foundations of a healthy family.
But the longer I lived, learned, and became a mother, the more I realized that nourishment is much bigger than food.
A child’s development is shaped by relationships.
Our wellbeing is influenced by our environment.
Our habits are connected to our spaces.
Education happens beyond the classroom.
Rituals give meaning to ordinary days.
Cooking can be science, culture, memory, and care at the same time.
So I started asking a bigger question:
What makes a home a healthy place to grow?
The Science of Home is my ongoing exploration of that question.
