Hello, I’m Linh Dieu Phan.
I’m a writer,
mother, and maker.
I didn’t set out to become a writer.
I simply kept making things.
Books. Drawings. Meals. Notes.
Little rituals.
Questions about health, motherhood, home, and the way we raise our children.
Over time, I began to realize that these things were not separate.
Still becoming, always.

They were all connected by the same question:
What does it mean to create a good life at home?
And perhaps an even more personal question:
How do we create a home when we are still learning how to feel at home within ourselves?
This website is where I keep exploring those questions.
Ideas I’m living with
What I believe
- Healing can happen in ordinary life.
- Home can be a place of repair and renewal.
- Homemaking can be meaningful work.
- Children need presence more than perfection.
- Creativity is a practice, not an identity.
- Nourishment is bigger than food.
- We can acknowledge what shaped us without allowing it to determine everything that comes next.
- A happy home does not have to be a perfect home.
- Small things matter.
I am not presenting a finished version of myself.
I am documenting the work of becoming.
Home is both the subject and the metaphor.
The physical home we create. The emotional home we build within ourselves.
The home we create for our children.
And the sense of belonging we slowly learn to carry with us.
Letters from Home
Occasional notes from my journal — new writing, drawings, books, things I’m learning, and small observations from everyday life.
Letters will begin when the time is right. For now, you can follow along in the journal.
